The government of Ebonyi state has slashed the monthly state allowance of Corper doctors from N130,000 to N15,000.
In a circular announcing the change, Corper pharmacists and nurses have also had their state allowance reviewed from N91,000 and N79,000 respectively to a flat rate of N5,000.
There was a time when Corps members in the medical profession used to re-deploy from other states to Ebonyi just so they could participate in the largesse. Apparently, that time is now over.
