Ederson Dismisses Exit Rumours, Commits Future to Manchester City

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has shut down reports linking him with a move away from the Premier League champions this summer, describing the rumours as “fake news.”
The 31-year-old Brazilian, who joined City from Benfica in 2017 for €40 million, is set to enter the final year of his contract. Recent reports had suggested he could be lured to the Saudi Pro League amid interest from clubs in the Middle East.

However, Ederson has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Pep Guardiola’s side.
“No, my future is here,” he told reporters ahead of City’s Club World Cup clash with Juventus on Thursday night. “Some friends send me a lot of news but 99 per cent is fake news. I understand you guys need content for social media or headlines, but there’s a lot of fake news around my name. My head is here, it stays with City.”
Since arriving in Manchester, Ederson has played a crucial role in City’s dominance, winning six Premier League titles, five League Cups, and the UEFA Champions League.
