EFCC Arrests 11 for Alleged Internet Fraud in Auchi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commisssion (EFCC) says it has arrested 11 suspected internet fraudsters in Auchi, Edo State.

In a release, the anti-graft commission said its Benin Zonal Office made the arrest on Monday.

The suspects were identified as David Martins, Shegun Elijah, Abagolu Samson, Peter Emmanuel, Emmanuel Noble and Timothy Johnson.

Others were identified as Omo-Ogbebor Uyioghosa, Ibrahim Mohammed, Mavis Bello, Emmanuel Chibozie and Ayiboye Alade.

The commission said that items recovered from the suspects include laptop computers, mobile phones and a Toyota Camry car.

“The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed,” the release further read.
