EFCC Arrests 27 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Jalingo

Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 27 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

The suspects were apprehended on Sunday, April 27, during coordinated raids at Fenson Guest House and the Mile 6 area of the city, following actionable intelligence linking them to cybercrime-related activities.

According to a statement posted on the EFCC’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the operatives recovered several items from the suspects, including a 2013 Toyota Camry, 27 mobile phones, five laptops, and other electronic devices believed to have been used in the alleged fraudulent operations.

The anti-graft agency confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
