Today at about 2:00pm, the Federal Government released Colonel Nicholas Ashinze, the former Military Assistant to Former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki.
The Aide to the former National Security Adviser had been in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC’s custody since December 23, 2015.
Earlier the Abuja High Court presided over by Justice Yusuf Halidu had ordered the release of the ex-NSA’s aide since March 14, 2016 but the anti-graft agency, EFCC, and the military challenged the judgement and held him till today.
The colonel was received by his joyous mother, siblings and his children after he was re-united with them.
