EFCC Shocked at Agbele Bail, Seek to Challenge Decision

1 Min Read

The Economic and Financial crimes commission are outraged at the bail granted to the aide to Governor Ayodele Fayose, Abiodun Agbele.

The EFCC had found themselves the losers when the Abuja High Court granted Abiodun Agbele bail in the sum of N50 million while slamming a N5 million fine on the anti-graft agency for “arbitrary abuse of power”.

The EFCC described Justice Adeniyi’s conclusion as “curious” against the background of the information presented to the court, including the fact that Agbele’s detention was legal and with the blessing of the courts as they had obtained a warrant.

The EFCC have now said that they would challenge the decision and request for a stay of execution.
