Mohamed Salah’s night ended in a nightmare as he injured his shoulder during the Champions League final against Real Madrid which Liverpool lost 3-1.

His Champions League dream is over, but how about his world cup dream?

While manager Jurgen Klopp was extremely worried about his chances of making the football Mundial, the Egyptian Football Association seems to believe that he could still make it.

The Egyptian FA took to Twitter where they said the team doctor had spoken with Liverpool officials who confirmed an x-ray showed ligament damage in his shoulder, rather than a fracture.

They believe that Salah could still make it for Egypt’s first game of the world cup which would take place on the 15th of June when they take on Uruguay.

“During the telephone follow-up conducted by the national team delegation in Italy to check on the status of Mohammed Salah,  Liverpool officials said Liverpool that X-rays were carried out on Salah’s shoulder and showed that the injury was a shock in the shoulder joints,” The Egyptian FA tweeted.

“Dr. Abu Ela expressed his optimism that Salah to make the World Cup according to this diagnosis.”

This would be good news for the Egyptian who also have Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny as a doubt for the World Cup.
