President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt can now rule the 27-million strong Arab nation until 2030.

This was as 88.83% of Egyptians voted to support constitutional changes that could prolong Sisi’s term for 11 more years.

Sisi took to Twitter shortly after the results were announced to thank his fellow citizens “who dazzled the world with their awareness of the challenges facing” Egypt.
