Eid-el-Kabir: Uba Sani Urges Kaduna Citizens to Embrace Sacrifice, Obedience, and Generosity

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has called on citizens to emulate the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging residents to deepen their spiritual commitment and social solidarity during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
In a heartfelt message posted on his verified Facebook page, Governor Sani reminded Muslims of the spiritual significance of the festival, describing it as a period of reflection and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us not forget its true essence, which is obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and unity,” he wrote. “It is a divine reminder for every Muslim to lead a life rooted in obedience to Allah SWT, sacrifice for the greater good, and service to humanity.”
Governor Sani emphasized the importance of maintaining these values beyond the festive period and encouraged citizens to continually reflect on the meaning of the celebration.
“This season is also a moment of sober reflection for all of us in Kaduna State. We must give thanks to Almighty Allah for the peace, development, and security we are witnessing across our beloved state,” he said.
He urged continued prayers for Kaduna State and the nation, asking for divine guidance in confronting challenges related to governance, development, and security.
Governor Sani also appealed to the wealthy to emulate the spirit of Prophet Ibrahim by sharing with the less privileged, describing this period as one for “generosity, kindness, and social solidarity.”
In his message, he offered prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other national leaders, asking Allah to grant them wisdom and strength in their efforts to build a peaceful and united Nigeria.
The governor concluded with best wishes for all celebrating the Sallah holiday: “May the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir fill our lives with peace, our homes with love, and our State and Nation with unity and progress.”
