Eid-el-Maulud: Makinde Charges Muslims to Imbibe Virtues of the Prophet Muhammad

Gov Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has felicitated the Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The facilitation message is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by Mr Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.

The statement quoted Makinde as congratulating all Muslim faithful in Oyo state and Nigeria in general, for witnessing the 2020 Eid-el-Maulud.

He charged every Muslim to imbibe the spirit of love, patience, and perseverance, which according to him, are virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

He stressed that the good virtues will guarantee peace and security in the state and the country as a whole.

The governor further admonished all stakeholders in the state to work towards restoring lasting peace following the disruptions that followed the recent protests across the land.

He noted that it is everyone’s responsibility to make Oyo state peaceful and progressive.
