The Kogi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Hussein Halilu Pai has assured residents of the state that the Independent National Electoral Commission would conduct a free and fair gubernatorial election in the state.

He said this on Monday after inspecting areas where the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) programme was being held.

Pai also urged intending voters living in difficult-to-reach areas to make concerted effort to be part of the CVR, stating that the commission was putting modalities in place to ease their suffering and ensure that they vote in the upcoming election.

The gubernatorial election in the state is to hold on November 21.
