Arsenal’s coach Unai Emery has reacted to rumours that club talisman Mesut Ozil didn’t play because of a bust-up between the two.

Ozil started Arsenal’s first two games against Manchester City and Chelsea and was widely expected to start again today before it was reported that he had fallen ill

A little while before the game, rumours started swirling from ESPN that Ozil had gotten into a heated argument with Emery and this was what led to his drop.

Arsenal won the game 3-1 to give themselves their first win of the season thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck. There was also an own goal by West Ham.

This means West Ham now have zero points from 3 games and Pellegrini will begin to feel the heat.

When asked about the rumoured bust-up, Emery said: “He was sick yesterday and we decided he shouldn’t play.

“He was sick and today he was here.

“I said today come if he feels better. And he feels better and he is here.

With this win Arsenal hope that their revolution is well and truly underway and with a trip to Cardiff next, they would hope to be able to build some momentum under the new boss.
