A video has circulated of the moment former Kebbi State Governor and Senator for Kebbi Central, Adamu Aliero urged the Federal Government to use every means necessary if dialogue fails to end the violence perpetrated in the guise of EndSARS protests.

He spoke during plenary on Tuesday as hoodlums in the guise of EndSARS wreaked havoc on public institutions and attacked individuals in some parts of the country.

Aliero said, “Dialogue should be used to get the youths to stop the EndSARS protests.

“Where dialogue fails, then we should use whatever means is possible to end.

“Otherwise, it will lead to anarchy.

“Already, a number of properties have been burnt, a number of people have been killed and no responsible government will allow lawlessness to take place when it is in power.

“For that reason, government should use whatever means possible to ensure that it ends the SARS movement.

This was as the Senate urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately address the nation over heightened tension occasioned by the protests.

The Senate had urged the police to offer protection to #EndSARS protesters to prevent hoodlums from hijacking their genuine action.

However, the Senate rejected Aliero’s call for use of every means possible to quell the protests.
