Popular Nigerian actor, Alex Ekubo has reiterated his call for the renaming of the Admiralty Toll Gate Plaza on the Lekki-Epe Expressway to Lekki Memorial Way.
Ekubo said this in an Instagram post on Thursday, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shooting of October 20, 2020.
He said that the toll plaza should be renamed to memorialise the victims of the shooting.
Sharing a photo of the protest to end police brutality in October 2020, Ekubo wrote:
Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day.

We will return the favour. 🤞🏾
The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain. ✊🏾
I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way & remain toll free forever.
