Following the alleged domestic violence report regarding Nigerian Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry and her man, Lanre Gentry which led to the actress’ hospitalization, there have been several reports in the media concerning the speculated marriage crash.

The actress who was revealed to have suffered a fractured skull from the alleged assault was also reported to have packed out of her matrimonial home although her husband, Lanre Gentry has denied allegations of domestic abuse.

Coming after it was alleged that the domestic abuse was because of an alleged mistress identified as Opemititi or Queen Stunner, the actress’ husband has further reacted to the reports in the media.

Lanre Gentry while speaking to BON noted that he has tolerated and put up with so much that other men would not in the seven years he was married to the actress.

He added that he had shown the actress nothing but love and support in the seven years they’ve been together despite some unbelievable moves she had made.

He said: “Would she have been in my house for 7 years if I beat her? I don’t know why she pulled such a picture stunt but I know the person that rented the house for her and the pictures and all are just stunts to paint me bad and gain sympathy.

“You know where Mercy was before I married her and in 7 years, I think I have tried but she has other ideas and most of the things that I take from her, most men wouldn’t take it and I hope she won’t allow me to talk if she keeps smearing my name.

“I am trying to be calm because I don’t want to use my hand to destroy what I help created.”

Following the alleged assault case, the actress and businesswoman has been reported to be pressing charges against her man.
