A shocking video of some traders described as “Hausa boys” using a deadly insecticide, Sniper, to preserve beans is currently setting tongues wagging.
According to the video obtained by The Herald, some young men could be seen bagging beans spread on a polythene material in an unidentified market.
The boys then applied Sniper to control pests.
An anonymous man who shared the video, said, “Plese stop eating beans or if you must eat beans, make sure you par-boil it very well and dispose the water.
“I went to the market on Sunday morning and could not believe what my eyes saw. Hausa boys were mixing sniper with beans – a chemical that is very high in acidic concentration and capable of killing anything that comes in contact with it, whether human or insect.
