FA Cup Round-Up: Arsenal Moves Into Fifth Round

1 Min Read

Arsenal have taken another step to a third consecutive FA Cup triumph with victory over Burnely at the Emirates.

Defender Calum Chambers put Arsene Wenger’s side in the lead, before they were pegged back by Sam Vokes, before Alexis Sanchez got the winner in the second half on his first start since returning from injury.

Elsewhere, Saido Berhaino scored twice, but that was not enough to put West Brom through, as they drew 2-2 with Peterborough, forcing a replay.

Also, League One Shrewsbury Town provided the upset of the FA Cup fourth round so far by beating Championship high-fliers Sheffield Wednesday at New Meadow.

Odion Ighalo’s 89th-minute strike gave Watford a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, while Bournemouth came from 1-0 behind to beat Portsmouth 2-1 in the south coast derby. Josh King and Marc Pugh responded to Gary Roberts’ opener.
