Respected human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has mocked former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his decision to support the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Before the Thursday endorsement, Obasanjo had said at different times that God would not forgive him should he knowingly support Atiku’s bid for any political post.
Reacting to the endorsement, Falana said that Obasanjo had the constitutional right to support any candidate of his choice for any post, just like every other Nigerian.

However, he wondered if God would forgive the former president for the endorsement of Atiku.
Obasanjo said, “Former President Obasanjo has a constitutional right to support any presidential candidate of his choice.
“It is however hoped that God will forgive him for supporting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.”
