Faleke donates 8 operational vehicles to security agencies in Lagos

The efforts of the security agencies to provide security received a boost on Friday when the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Faleke donated 6 operational vehicles to the Nigerian Police Force, one to Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and one to Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Faleke, while presenting the vehicles in Lagos, said the gesture was part of his commitment to boost the security architecture of the state.

He explained that more vehicles would be donated in the second phase of the donation and assured that other security agencies would be considered in due course.

“We started by donating 8 vehicles to the security agencies, we are also rebuilding the Ojodu police station burnt down during the ENDSARS protest and we will deliver it by next month,” Faleke said.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, who received on behalf of police thank Faleke and appeal to other politicians and rich Nigerians to emulate the lawmaker’s efforts.

Lagos State Sector Commander, Mr. Olusegun Ogungbemide received on behalf of Boboye Oyeyemi the Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps.

“To us, it’s a challenge to use what he has given to us to improve security and we promise on behalf of the agencies that we will use these vehicles to improve the security of your constituency and we promise that the vehicle will not be used for any other assignment except the security of your constituency,” he said.
