Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has revealed that he has never had his heart broken—because he’s never truly been in love.
The entertainer made the disclosure during the first-ever live edition of the With Chude podcast, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo.
When asked whether he had ever suffered heartbreak, Falz explained that he has never allowed himself to get emotionally vulnerable enough to experience such pain.
“I have never been heartbroken,” he said. “If you don’t put your legs inside water, can you drown? I haven’t presented my heart that much to be broken. I have been giving small of it ooo.”
Falz went on to admit that, despite being in romantic situations, he has never uttered the words “I love you” to a partner.
“It’s not a sad thing. I’m not devoid of emotion—don’t get it twisted,” he clarified. “I have said, ‘Oh, I really really like you.’ I just haven’t said, ‘I’m in love with you.’”
