The Federal Government through the DSS authority, have contacted the families of DSS operatives who embarked on a rescue mission and since went missing.

On the 15th of September 2015, seven DSS operatives went on a mission to rescue a kidnapped woman.

The woman was later released by the kidnappers but the DSS officials vanished without a trace.

The families of the officials, who have waited patiently hoping to see their loved ones return, were recently contacted and given N250,000 for burial after being told that the bodies of the officials could not be traced.

Actor Don Saint, a brother to one of the missing officials shared the recent development on social media;

“This is my brother, the Samson of our family, my state and Lagos state. He was the best DSS official in Lagos state 2014.

“After over a year of sorrow and waiting, the DSS has finally alerted the families of the missing officials telling them that their loved ones died as heroes.

“On Saturday, we were given N250,000 as their contribution to the burial without a body. The minister of information once said that Nigerians spend up to N100,000 for champagne. Can we now say that these fallen officers were worth only two bottles?

“I am making a case not just for my brother but for all the security operatives who put their lives at risk for the nation, while some people loot the country set.

“They say what goes around comes around, hence we continue to wallow in our pains we thank President Buhari and the DSS while we lay it on the table of God almighty.”
