Family Argument at Toddler’s Birthday Party Leaves Four People Dead
A toddler’s first year birthday party was marred by the deaths of four members of two families following an argument between both parties at the celebration.
A dispute between members of both families at the toddler’s first birthday party in Texas resulted into a hot exchange of gunfire between both parties.
Four men were left dead while a fifth was wounded at the end of the carnage.
Police sources on Sunday confirmed that the fight broke out Saturday evening in a house in the small town of Taft, on the Gulf Coast near the city of Corpus Christi.
According to Sergeant Nathan Brandley, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, four men were found dead at the scene while a fifth was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in Corpus Christi.
Brandley whose briefing was posted on social media said the condition of the fifth wounded man was currently unknown. He however said the cause of the dispute was yet to be known but the Texas Ranger law enforcement agency was already leading an investigation into the incident.
Texas laws which include the right to carry concealed weapons make it one of the gun-friendliest states in the country and also one of the most violent.
