Fani-Kayode appointed director of new media for Tinubu’s presidential campaign

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has been appointed as the Director of New Media of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The Herald can report that Fani-Kayode was named in the 422-member council released by Secretary of the council, Hon. James Faleke on Friday.

Special Assistant on Digital Communications to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmed was named Deputy Director and Seun Olufemi-White was named Secretary.

Reacting to the appointment on Saturday, Bashir Ahmed described it as an “honour”.

He wrote, “I am honored and humbled to be called for a national assignment once again, this time, by our great party, the All Progressives Congress and our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to deputize the New Media Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC).

“I thank my party and our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for finding me worthy of such great national assignment, we will by God’s grace give our all, with the support of our teeming social media supporters across the country, to lead a clean and excellent digital media campaign for our party and our candidate.

“New Media contributed significantly to the victory of our party in 2015 and 2019 and we will double our efforts for our expected victory in 2023, in Sha Allah.”
