Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has lambasted All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in the South West geopolitical zone for their silence in the face of alleged herdsmen killings in the region.
The ex-minister made his displeasure known in a tweet on Monday.
This is coming two days after leader of the New Era group of the Oodua People’s Congress (APC), Rasak Arogundade, said the group could not stop the activities of killer herdsmen and kidnappers in the South-West without the backing of the governors and leaders in the region.
Recall that an orthopedic surgeon and lecturer with the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Prof Olayinka Adegbehingbe was recently abducted by some herdsmen along the Ibadan-Ile Ife Expressway.
Fani-Kayode said that Yoruba APC leaders must not keep quit while criminals continue to commit atrocities in the region.
He said, “Why is it that not one leading Yoruba figure or leader in the APC has condemned the killing of the Yoruba in the South West by the terrorist Fulani herdsmen, ISWA and Boko Haram? Have they all gone deaf, dumb and blind?”
