Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the beheading of Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bare Ward, Numan LGA, Adamawa State, Mr Charles Chrisanthus, by suspected herdsmen.

The party chairman was reportedly killed on his farm in the presence of his wife, Dorcas, and four-month-old son (pictured) on August 29.

“His attackers led by our Fulani neighbours repeatedly stabbed him on the back and on his stomach before beheading my husband in our farm and made away with his head,” his widow, Dorcas, who accused the police of shielding her husband’s killers, was quoted as saying by The Punch.

But Fani-Kayode blamed the alleged failure of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government in the area of security for the PDP chairman’s killing.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle on Friday morning, Fani-Kayode said, “Fulani herdsmen beheaded Charles Chrisanthus, Chairman of PDP, Numan LGA, Adamawa State in front of his wife and then ran away with his head.

“I condemn this barbarity and I am outraged and disgusted by the protection that Buhari constantly provides for these Fulani terrorists.”

He urged Nigerians to vote out the Buhari administration to put an end to herdsmen killings.

“Now is the time to dig deep, build bridges, form alliances and collaborate with those that share our concerns about Buhari’s flagrant incompetence, reckless ineptitude and inordinate capacity for evil. We must remove him. If we succeed Nigeria will heal. If we fail Nigeria is doomed,” he said.
