FC IfeanyiUbah of Nnewi on Sunday in Ibadan forced hosts Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) to a 2-2 draw in a 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Match Day 24 fixture was a game of two halfs with both sides taking each half.

3SC scored through Ebitimi Agogo and Afolabi Wahab in the 9th and 30th minutes respectively.

FC IfeanyiUbah however equalised through Tamen Medrano in the 79th minute from a penalty kick, and Ajunwa Onyebuchi in the 81st minute.

NAN reports that the tension-soaked match saw Elu Wilson of FC IfeanyiUbah being sent off in the 83rd minute of the game.

Ifeanyi Ubah, the owner of the visiting side, commended the players for putting up a good challenge in forcing 3SC to a 2-2 draw.

“It is not easy to pick an away draw from a club like 3SC,’’ he said.

Ubah further told newsmen that the two clubs were very strong teams, adding that they had both proved their stuff on the field of play.

“We have won two and drawn one of our last three matches and that shows what we can do. Ogunbote (the 3SC coach) is a good coach but we have proved to be up to the task today,’’ he added.

The club proprietor commended the large turnout of spectators at the stadium to watch the match.(NAN)
