The Federal Government has placed two Governors from the southern part of the country on its watch-list.

The revelation was made by a source close to the Presidency.

According to the source, the Governors, one from South-west and the other from South-south were placed on the government’s watch list based on their activities which are clearly anti-Nigeria.

The source added that the activities portrayed by the Governors “have negative security implications.”

According to reports, both Governors will no longer be allowed to travel outside the country unless such travels were duly sanctioned by key security officials.

The directive which was issued three weeks ago according to the source has been handed to all security organisations and relevant offices.

While arguing the possibility of tampering with the Governors’ immunity, the source told Sunday Sun, “the government is moving to stop any form of infractions and the process does not infringe upon the immunity of any of the actors. I believe that none of the officials would be stopped from embarking on trips unnecessarily.”

The source added: “The security knows what to do in the case of any of them failing to get the required clearance before embarking on trips abroad. He will be prevented from boarding his flight.”
