Another fire incident has been recorded on Monday at the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) office located at the Good Shepherd House in Alausa.

This is coming barely a day after a fire gutted four offices in the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Alausa on Sunday.

The fire was said to have been put out by men of the Lagos State Fire Service, whose office is nearby, 30 minutes after it commenced.

Michael Akindele, General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, said, “The fire service officials got here three minutes after they got the distress call and were able to curtail the fire to only one office.”

The fire affected the office of the Director of Administration which is on the third floor of the building.

The degree of havoc wreaked by the fire is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
