Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas has stated that the major reason for his move to Ligue One was the presence of his former team mate, Thierry Henry as manager.
The Frenchman was fired a couple of days ago after Fabregas had played only 3 games for him and he has been replaced by the man he initially replaced, Leonardo Jardim.
“I am not going to lie, one of the main reasons for me coming to Monaco is that Thierry called me,” Fabregas said
“He wanted me to play every game, every minute.”
Henry endured a difficult time at the principality club, winning just five games in three months with his team languishing in 19th place with very little hope that they can find their way back.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea is confident that Henry will bounce back
“We are sad for ‘Titi’ because I really think he will be a top coach, I am sure of it,” added Fabregas.
“Football doesn’t wait and maybe it was not the right moment or he didn’t have the time to fulfil all his plans and everything he wanted to do. That is life, it happens.”
There have been suggestions that he might go back to his post as the assistant coach of the Belgian national team, a move both Lukaku and Hazard would welcome.
