Unknown gunmen have attacked Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Lokoja to steal vital hospital records.
The gunmen who arrived in large numbers laid siege on the hospital premises for 30 minutes. They attacked the administrative departmentof the hospital where important hospital records and other sensitive documents are kept.
Shooting sporadically into the air while hospital staff scuffled for safety, the armed men stole laptops , mobile devices of health workers and patients.
This is coming amid a specualted rift between the Kogi state Government and the health institution regarding Gov Yahaya Bello’s stance on COVID-19.
It would be recalled that Governor Bello described COVID-19 Pandemic as a hoax while the health workers disagree vehemently.
