Former Atlanta Police Officer Charged With Felony Murder for Rayshard Brooks’ Death

Former Atlanta police officer, Garrett Rolfe has been charged with felony murder for the killing of Rayshard Brooks at a Wendy’s parking lot on Friday.

An Arrest warrant has also been issued for the former police officer who was 11 criminal counts hanging on his head.

The development was announced by Fulton County District Attorney, Paul Howard Jr. during a press conference on Wednesday.

A felony murder charge conviction carries the penalty of life in prison without parole or a death sentence.

The second officer on the scene, Delvin Brosnan has also been charged with three criminal counts bordering on aggravated assault.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Brosnan whom the DA says will testify on behalf of the state of Georgia.
