Sunday Adewusi, Former Inspector-General of Police has passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja.
The deceased who died at about 9:00pm on Tuesday according to Police sources was said to have given up the ghost after a brief illness.
Mr Adewusi who died at the age of 80 was the youngest police officer to become the Inspector-General of Police at the age of 45 years in 1981.
Born in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nassarawa State to the family of Pa Abraham Ishola Adewusi and Princess Abeje, Mr Adewusi rose quickly in rank to become the youngest IG. He was also the Asiwaju of Ogbomosholand before his death.
