A former Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Andrew Otutu Obaseki, has passed on at the age of 93.
The late Justice was an uncle to the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki and the head of the Obaseki family.
He died at about 5pm , Thursday after a brief illness and according to the Acting Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (CMD), Prof. Darlington Obaseki, the death is a great loss to Benin people.
“Late Justice Obaseki was the patriarch of the Obaseki family so it is a great loss for us,” the CMD said.
“He is irreplaceable because of the role he played in our lives. He will surely be missed but we give God glory for everything.”
Late Justice Obaseki holds the title, “Obaseki” of Benin kingdom.
