Four Expatriates Rescued From Kidnappers

Four Americans and Canadians expatriates who were kidnapped at gunpoint in Kaduna State have been rescued by Police, furthermore, two of the kidnappers were also arrested.

A police spokesperson has reported that the victims were rescued on Saturday at around 7:30am. They have been handed over to American Embassy in Abuja for a health check-up but it appears no one is harmed.

The victims were identified as Nate Vangeest and Rachael Kelley both from Canada and John Kirlin and Dean Slocum from America.

The police reported, “Two suspects have been arrested and efforts are being made to arrest other members of the gang.”

The victims were allegedly kidnapped on Kwoi-Jere Road in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Tuesday.

They were picked up on their way back from Kafanchan where they had gone to inspect a project. The gunmen opened fire on their police escort killing two policemen before hauling the expatriated away.
