Four New Cases Recorded In Nigeria as Numbers Rise To 139

Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced that four fresh cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria, bringing the total number to 139.

 

NCDC who disclosed this on their official Twitter handle said that “Four new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 3 in the FCT and 1 in Lagos As at 08:00 pm 31st March there are 139 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths.

“As at 08:00 pm 31st March, there are 139 confirmed cases 9 discharged 2 deaths For a breakdown of cases by states in real-time, visit http://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng Currently; Lagos- 82 FCT- 28 Oyo- 8 Osun- 5 Ogun- 4 Kaduna- 3 Enugu- 2 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Ekoti- 1 Rivers-1 Benue- 1.”

 

 

Additional five patients have recovered from the deadly coronavirus disease and have been discharged by the Lagos State Government on Monday.

 

This was confirmed by the commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho according to a report by Vanguard.

 

The Commissioner said:

“Yes, I’m aware. Five Coronavirus patients, who have fully recovered from the disease after treatment were set to be discharged from Isolation Centre today.

 

“The state government has concluded all arrangements to reintegrate the patients into society. But, I know by now the patients are supposed to be in their respective homes
