France women world cup team’s defender Wendy Renard has lost the trophy she got for finishing among the top places of last year’s Balon d’Or on a train and she has publicly appeal for its return.

Wendy, 29, misplaced a suitcase carrying two of her trophies whilst in transit on the Paris-Lyon service on Thursday.

When she returned to the station, staff from the SNCF operated train returned her bag to her but to her amazement only one trophy was found in it instead two.

Renard, who came sixth in this year’s Women’s Ballon d’Or, has appealed for help in retrieving the missing trophy.
