French President To Visit Fela’s Shrine In Lagos

Fela’s the new African Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos will place host to French President, Emmanuel Macron this week.

The French leader will be visiting the Shrine as part of activities to mark the opening of the Alliance Francaise facility in Lagos.

He will first visit President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday for talks around terrorism and security in the West African sub-region before heading to Lagos.

Macron will be hosted at the Shrine by Trace TV and will get the chance to experience the best of Afrobeat and sounds by popular contemporary Nigerian musicians.

After the visit to the Shrine, Macron is expected to commission the new-look Alliance Francaise facility in the high-brow Ikoyi area of Lagos.
