Mr. Jonathan Owoade, the Kwara FRSC Sector Commander, while decorating the beneficiaries in Omu-Aran, advised them to justify their elevation through dedication to duty, utmost loyalty, and selflessness in the discharge of their civic responsibilities.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Owoade was assisted during the decoration by Mr. Oluyinka Adetunji, the Omu-Aran FRSC Unit Commander, Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, and heads of other security agencies in the area.

The decoration of the officers, which coincided with the unit command’s end of the year party, was attended by friends, families, and associates of the affected officers.

Part of the activities of the end of the year party was also the send-forth of an officer, Ganiyu Sodiq, a Deputy Chief Road Marshall Assistant, who retired from the service.

Owoade reiterated the command’s readiness to always recognize and appreciate meritorious performance by officers and men, urging them to be alive to their responsibilities at all times.

“What we are witnessing today is a product of selfless service, dedication to duty and utmost loyalty which should be the guiding principle for every staff to emulate.

“It is also a call to do more and earn more on the part of the affected officers as the command will always recognize and appreciate the high performance,” he said.

The sector commander expressed appreciation to the community leaders, transport unions and heads of other security agencies for their unalloyed support to the command.

Mr. Oluyinka Adetunji, the Omu-Aran FRSC Unit Commander, said the command extended an invitation to other security agencies and other guests to appreciate God’s kindness and favor.

He said it was God’s faithfulness and kindness that made the 13 officers of the command be promoted at a stretch.

“This may not be the situation in other commands and units across the country.

“We have commands where a single officer, out of many that participated in the examination, was not promoted to the next rank,’’ he said.

Adetunji urged the newly promoted officers to justify their elevation through an increase in their productivity and better performance.

Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, the traditional ruler of Omu-Aran and the Olomu of Omu-Aran, in his goodwill message, congratulated the newly promoted and urged them to maintain the same spirit of loyalty and dedication to service.

He expressed the community’s commitment toward maintenance of the cordial relationship that existed between the command and other similar security outfits.

Mr. Ademola Oguntimehin, who was decorated with his new rank of Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), described the elevation as God-ordained.

Oguntimehin thanked the staff and management of the unit for their support in making the much-desired promotion a reality.
