Fulham have been relegated from the English Premier League after losing 2-0 to Burnley on Monday night.
The Cottagers have 27 points from 35 games, and are currently 18th on the table, 10 points below Southamption, who have one game in hand.
Scott Parker’s side joined West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United, whose relegation to the second-tier Championship was confirmed earlier.
The London club needed to avoid defeat in Monday’s game to keep alive a slim hope of staying afloat.
That was not to be however as goals from Ashley Westwood and Chris Wood in the first half cemented their fate.
