In the last twenty years, Nigeria’s population has increased by 72 percent, according to Spectator Index, which monitors trends across the world.

At that rate, the West African nation has recorded the most growth in population size in the past two decades.

Nigeria’s population growth rate tops the list of 19 countries monitored across the globe, including Saudi Arabia, USA, China, India and Indonesia.
