‘Shape of You’ crooner, Ed Sheeran has been forced out of social media once again following the backlash he received from featuring in one of the most popular and expected TV series, Game Of Thrones.

Recall that the British pop singer had some months ago revealed that negative comments forced him off the social media page but it appears he made a silent re-entry which was outed after he was spotted in the latest release of the Game of Throne Season 7 episode.

The popular and much expected TV series returned on Monday night as it aired in UK but it brought along with it woes for the singer who has over 19 million people following him on the social media platform.

Ed Sheeran, like David Beckham who featured in the King Arthur movie was criticized for his performance on set, with fans calling him out for putting on a below par performance in his brief appearance as a soldier in the eagerly-awaited episode.

In the midst of the media backlash, Ed Sheeran bowed out of social media and yet again took down his account.

Viewers of the released episode described the singer’s performance as awful and disappointing.

Sheeran who took the account down on Monday had in an earlier interview said: “I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things,” Sheeran said. “Twitter’s a platform for that.”

However, Ed Sheeran is still active on Instagram where he gets to control the amount of comments he gets and has also shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the Game of Thrones set.
