General election: With 75% voting population, youths can’t be ignored – Comedian AY

Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun popularly known as AY has said that the youths make up roughly 75 percent of the registered voters for the forthcoming general election, and as such cannot be disregarded.

He said this in a tweet on Wednesday.

“Knowing that we have 70,473,990 under the age of 49 years out of the 93,469,008 total registered voters for the 2023 presidential election, with a percentage of about 75%, it is clear that the youth cannot be disregarded this time. So where does your PVC direct you?” AY asked.

The comedian recently noted that most celebrities have become slaves to fear during election period.

He also urged fans not to put undue pressure on celebrities.

“Most celebs have become slaves to fear during elections.

“Whenever they publicly take a stand on any political candidate of their choice, they are either BLACKLISTED or ATTACKED by clueless thugs who would do anything to secure their own interests.

“Stop putting them under pressure,” AY said.
