Media sources are reporting that incumbent president John Mahama has called opposition candidate Nana Akufo-Addo to congratulate him as it becomes apparent that he has won the presidential elections.
Mahama, called Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his victory, which has not yet been announced by the electoral commission.
Vanguard has likened Mahama’s call to Akufo-Addo to Goodluck Jonathan’s call to Muhamadu Buhari in the aftermath of the 2015 presidential election in Nigeria.
Akufo-Addo’s supporters are already jubilating.
