Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud may be saying his final goodbyes to Premier League football after a couple of contract extensions between last summer and now.

The player contributed his part to help Chelsea and Frank Lampard in their building last season but it is time to move on.

Like every other transfer link and possible exit for Olivier, the GPS destination is set for Italy, for a chance to kick about in the Italian Serie A, this time with a Juventus summer switch. They have been linked with him prior to this, but it was always other Italian sides looking more likely to gain his services.

During last summer and the winter window that followed, it was almost ceratin Giroud was out the doors at the Bridge. Since Antonio Conte was introduced as the manager at Inter Milan, he has always wanted to reunite with the striker.

But Lampard needed his presence and goalscoring abilities at Chelsea in the absence of Tammy Abraham, who had a long lay-off with an ankle injury. With the Blues adding Timo Wener, Kia Havertz, and already having Abraham, competition is too stiff and youthful for him to take part in.
