Golden Morn is For Children Alone: Right or Wrong?

Everyday, some of us are constantly hit with the, “Why are you taking golden morn? Are you a baby?” line. No surprise here, because infants and little children are most often given golden morn as their breakfast meal.

Golden morn is a great breakfast cereal that is made from locally grown maize and soya. It is also fortified with a range of vitamins and minerals, specifically iron, vitamins B1, B5 and C.

The whole grains, maize and soya, that are used in its production contain brilliant amounts of nutrients that not only serve benefits to children, but also adults. It contains fibers, antioxidants, B vitamins, Vitamin E, carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and essential fats.

Like so many other cereals, it is a great and nourishing stomach opener. Before heading out for a busy day; be it school or work, it is important to get all the nutrients you can get so as to function properly, maintain energy and improve productivity.

Interestingly enough, the fiber content in golden morn can make it an effective weight loss aid because the consumption of fiber is known to slow down the rate of digestion and bring about a feeling of fullness. Thus, making you full for longer, avoiding unnecessary snacking and overeating.

Children are not left out in the benefits. It is soft and easily digestible, which is great for the milk/growing teeth in children. Golden morn contains nutrients like B vitamins and magnesium that are essential for proper development and growth in kids and also improves mental performance; an excellent benefit for the little ones.

The antioxidant and mineral content in the cereal is very vital for fighting off harmful toxins and shielding the body against free radicals.

The only downside is for people who are allergic to soya and gluten as the cereal is highly concentrated with them.
