The Deputy Governor of Gombe, Mr Charles Lliya, says the state has a lot of development to showcase to the world as it celebrates 20th years anniversary on Oct. 1,
Iliya, who is the Chairman Organising Committee, said this in an interview with newsmen in Gombe Tuesday.
“I think if there is any state in Nigeria that need to celebrate its existence, Gombe state is the first.
“The reason is simple, we have leaders that is very jealous in ensuring Gombe State is develop,” he said.
He said Gombe had past some states created before it because all aspect of development were their such as road, schools, hospitals, among others developmental projects across the state.
Lliya said that the committee had done a lot for a successful celebration and a lot of personalities, including former governors and presidents,could attend.
“Part of the celebration is to make sure that we showcase Gombe State because of the progress made within the period of existence that is the main reason”, he said.
According to him, Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo has released some fund to ensure that the work of the committee did not stop
