Sule expressed his dismay on Saturday during an inspection tour of the facility located along Makurdi road in Lafia.

He was particularly irked by the situation where the facility merely provided free shops to individuals to carry out their personal businesses to the detriment of the purpose of setting up the centre.

Sule noted that the entrepreneurs presently operating in the centre lacked the required capacity in terms of procuring the required machinery and tools that would enable train the youths.

According to the governor, his administration is committed to ensuring that the teeming youths of the state acquire the best technical and vocational skills to meet up with challenges of a technology-based economy.

He, therefore, directed the General Manager of the centre, Mr Idris Ibrahim, to ensure that only competent entrepreneurs were allowed access to the centre.

The general manager, he said, should also report to the Government House, alongside top management staff of the centre for a review of activities at the centre.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that while inaugurating the centre in September, the governor said it would go a long way in availing unemployed youths opportunities to engage in meaningful ventures for self-reliance.

The centre was constructed in collaboration with the National Board for Technology Incubation.
