A woman in Onitsha area of Anambra State has been reportedly arrested by police after cutting off the finger of her niece living with her.
Although information concerning the incident remains sketchy, the perpetrator is said to be an indigene of Enugu living in Onitsha.
A graphic photo of the incident circulating on social media shows what appears to be the little girl’s severed finger on the floor.
Another photo shows a crowd gathered around the suspect while the third shows the victim with a bloody bandage around her hand.
The reason for the woman’s action remains unknown.
A Twitter user shared the photos on Wednesday.
