Former Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Goodluck Jonathan has resigned his position as National Coordinator of the Goodluck Support Group.

The move comes days after he was sacked from his political appointment due to his perceived meddling in Akwa Ibom State politics with rivals of the incumbent Governor Godswill Akpabio.

Gulak who was coordinator of the Group which coordinated the President’s campaign efforts leading to his victory in 2011 did not cite any reason for his resignation.

A copy of his resignation letter dated May 2, 2014 which was addressed to deputy national coordinator of the group, Eddy Olafeso and entitled, “Resignation/Disengagement from Goodluck Support Group” called on his deputy to remain steadfast in supporting the President in his sincere efforts to take the country to enviable heights.
