Gunmen Dressed In Police Uniform Storm Lagos, Kill Foreigner

It was gathered that gunmen stormed Daleko Bridge in Mushin area of Lagos dressed in Police uniform on thursday.

According to the report, the criminals arrived the scene in a commercial bus and commenced spontaneous release of bullets into the air and were also reported to have targeted and killed a victim who was later identified to be a foreigner named Mr. Santos Korie.

According to eyewitnesses, the late Mr. Korie was driving a Toyota Highlander SUV before he was shot by the gunmen. He later died from complications of the traumatic attack before adequate medical intervention.

Speaking on the incident, the State Police Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said investigations are on to ascertain if the criminals were real police men or hired killers.

“At about 7am, the Area Commander, Area ‘D’ Mushin, received a distress call that there was a shooting incident around Daleko Bridge, Mushin. Some Policemen were immediately dispatched to the area but on arrival, the gunmen had disappeared.

“On enquiry, eyewitnesses clustering around told men of the Area ‘D’ that the gunmen were in police uniform and had operated in a commercial bus. The victim, one Mr. Santos Korie, was driving in a Toyota Highlander, died on his way to the hospital,” Bridge confirmed.
